My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Miruku-San, a middle-aged gentleman who recently found himself at FMAR after his loving owners fell on hard times. They`ve cared for this sweet boy since he was a kitten, and though he’s a little shy at first, his gentle nature quickly shines through. Having always lived with other cats, Miruku-San knows how to fit in and has a special talent for sensing when someone is feeling down—he’ll come right over for a comforting snuggle.

Though he`s been through a lot of changes, once he comes out of his shell, you`ll have a lifelong companion who rewards you with affection. Miruku-San would thrive in a quieter home without young, rambunctious kids, where he can settle in at his own pace and offer his love and companionship for years to come.

FMAR felines are spayed/neutered, microchipped, vaccinated for age-appropriate shots, and negative for FIV/FeLV.

More about this shelter

We are a nonprofit, no-kill animal shelter comprised mostly of volunteers. We take in cats and dogs from local shelters and the public who can no longer care for their pets. Each of the volunteers at FMAR has a tremendous amount of love for animals and simply wants to do what they can to ensure that as many animals as possible find a forever home. Until then, each animal has a home at FMAR indefinitely.
