Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Grace is the kind of dog who will steal your heart with her calm, affectionate nature and gentle spirit. This lower-energy girl thrives in a relaxed environment where she can enjoy the simple pleasures of life, like belly rubs, chin scratches, and quality time with her favorite people.
Grace is excellent on a leash, making walks an enjoyable experience for both of you. She's easy to walk and appreciates taking in the sights and sounds at a leisurely pace, always staying close by your side.
Though she may initially be a bit timid in the shelter, Grace blossoms once she's in a home. She's a loving companion who feels most comfortable around other dogs, often relaxing and coming out of her shell when she's in the company of her canine friends. Grace is also treat-motivated and already knows basic commands like "sit" and "shake," which shows just how eager she is to please and learn.
Grace will need a patient and understanding adopter when it comes to crate training. She struggles with being crated, so she'll thrive in a home where she can either have her own space outside the crate or where her new family can work with her on building positive crate associations. A calm, quiet household with someone willing to help her gain confidence and comfort will be key to her success.
If you're looking for a loving, low-key companion who enjoys the simple joys of life and has the potential to flourish in the right environment, Grace might just be the perfect fit for you. Come meet this sweet girl today and see for yourself how much love she has to give!
To meet Grace, come to Guilford County Animal Services between 12 and 4 any day except Tuesday!
