We adopted Whiskey to keep as a farm dog but after getting him from the shelter (who says he was picked up as a stray at around 2 yo), I feel like we don't have the proper setting for him. We don't know his background but we believe we was used to round up livestock as he chases our little dog and cats like he's trying to herd them back to us and he plays with a basketball like a soccer player would run a ball on the field. He doesn't have a mean bone in his body but if something runs he's after it like lightning. We tried him in the house first but he's not house trained as it didn't matter how many times we took him out we'd wake up to massive piles and pee running down the walls and counters. He's already had his shots, microchipped and neutered at the shelter (his wounds were still fresh and healing when we got him over the summer). I would like to see him go to a farm with acreage to run and get his energy out.
