My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

KNOWS HOW TO 'LET HER FUR DOWN' AND HAVE A GOOD TIME!

DOB 6/30/23

Hey there, everyone! I’m Faith, a sweet, gentle, demure, gorgeous tabico (tabby-calico), which means that I’m mostly white with brown tabby where other calicos have solid black or gray mixed with orange. I have thick, plush medium-length fur, golden-globe eyes, and a glorious fluffy tail, which all adds up to my being eye candy, if I do say so myself.

I showed up as a shy but friendly stray at a feeding station for community cats. After my feeder witnessed my surviving a scary encounter with roaming dogs, she decided to release me inside my foster home after my spay surgery. At first I was a little aloof with Foster Meowmy, but she gave me time and space to settle in, and it wasn’t long before I warmed up to her by purring like an outboard motor as I rubbed my pheromones all over her legs.

Now I’m living the life of a queen as a strictly indoor kitty, and I don’t miss the hardscrabble outdoor life one bit! I embrace the comforts of the VIP lifestyle – brimming food and water bowls, climate control, and soft spots to cat nap. I get along great with the indoor “colony” of foster kittens and resident cats, and I ignore the 20-pound Chiweenie dog as well as the hooman toddler. I enjoy playing soccer with my jingle-bell balls, and my foster feline siblings join me as we delightedly chase string that Foster Meowmy snakes around the room. When I’m exhausted from playtime, I enjoy lounging in a patch of sunshine on the cat tree while I watch the wildlife fly and scamper by my window view.

Now it’s time for me to find my forever loving home. Don’t let my winsome beauty and relaxed demeanor fool you into thinking that I'm stuck up! No siree! Once I feel comfy, I’m an affectionate gal who also knows how to "let down my fur" and have a good time. If you’re looking for a kitty to become your cherished companion and to fill your home with exultant joy, I’m the girl for you! Arrange to meet me today!

If you are interested in Fatih and would like to fill out an online Cat Adoption Application, please go to http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php . Submitting an application does not obligate you to adopt, but it initiates contact with us and gets the process started.  If you have questions prior to filling out the application or want to find out which adoption site this feline will be this week-end, email us at hope@homelesspets.net , and a volunteer will get back to you.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Adopting an animal is a very serious decision and we want to be sure that our potential adoptive families have thought about the impact of this decision carefully. To adopt an animal through HOPE, we request that you complete an Adoption Application, a copy of which is available online for cats at http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/cat-adoption.php or for dogs at http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-forms/dog-adoption.php. You may fill it out online or print a copy of the application and complete it prior to arriving at an adoption session. This will expedite the adoption process and will also assist our adoption counselors in matching you to a suitable pet.

We at HOPE make every effort to match our foster pets to appropriate homes. If you feel that we are too intrusive, please understand that it is because we care about their welfare.

Fees
All animals are neutered or spayed and have received age appropriate shots prior to being adopted. We ask that you provide a $100 donation for cats and a donation of $150 for dogs when you adopt your new family member from us. This donation helps us in defraying the costs of these and other medical needs of our animals.

Go meet their pets

Mobile adoption sessions are held on the weekends. All adoption sessions run from 12:00 - 4:00 pm at a variety of locations and days as noted on our website http://www.homelesspets.net/adoption-locations/. For more information, please contact us at hope@homelesspets.net

More about this rescue

Our mission is to end the homelessness of cats and dogs through foster to adoption, feral cat Trap-Neuter-Return, and education.

HOMELESS & ORPHANED PETS ENDEAVOR (HOPE) is an all-foster, no kill adoption group based in the Houston area.

HOPE covers the cost of general medical expenses for the animals in the program, such as altering, routine vaccinations and treatment for parasites. Our foster families are asked to provide food, shelter and love to the animals for which they care. They receive no payment for the services that they provide. Without them, and the other volunteers who so selflessly do what is necessary to keep HOPE afloat, it would not be possible to run this nonprofit corporation.

One aim of HOPE is to develop a network of area rescue and humane organizations which will facilitate the rescue and placement of a variety of animals. The goal is to never have to turn away an animal in need. By forming a coalition of humane and rescue groups in the Houston area, we could potentially place all animals who need a temporary home until they are placed into a permanent one.
