My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Reagan is the perfect dog for almost anyone. She adores people, children, and dogs of all sizes and is exceptionally well-behaved—whether at home, on a leash, or in the car.

At just 1.5 years old, Reagan has the sweetest personality. She is a 45 pound lab mix. She was found in Houston on the streets with her puppies but seems to have once lived in a loving home. She’s better behaved than her foster siblings, who’ve had professional training.

Reagan is a quiet, gentle companion who loves to be near her person. She gives endless kisses, patiently rests at your feet, and is completely house-trained. She never jumps on people, chews anything but her toys, or disrupts your schedule. Reagan sleeps soundly through the night, either in her crate or her favorite spot.

She enjoys playing with other dogs and is polite and gentle in her interactions. On walks, she stays close to her person, keeping an eye on squirrels without chasing them. Reagan rarely barks, but she might give a sweet squeak to remind you how much she loves you.

It’s hard to believe a dog this perfect exists, but Reagan truly is a gem. She’s ready to give her whole heart to a forever family that will cherish her in return. Adopt Reagan, and you’ll gain the best friend and companion you’ve ever dreamed of. Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info

We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue

The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
