Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Anyone who is interested in one of our pets needs to first meet them.

If they feel a connection to the animal and want to pursue further they would fill out an adoption application. Part of the adoption application asks for references which are checked prior to approval or non approval for adoption.

A home visit is scheduled to see what type of environment the dog would be living in. This would also be a good time to check and see how the adoptable pet would be with any other household pets. If all of these steps are successful, the rescue reviews the process and comes to a conclusion. And hopefully a new family member will be added to your household!

More about this rescue

Ellie's Legacy Pet Rescue is a brand new rescue based out of Alexandria, MN and was made official when two animal lovers joined together to save as many lives as possible. We don't discriminate any breed and do whatever we can to help. We were both driven to make a change after our beloved dogs passed away.
