My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bianca was found on the street in Downey, CA when she was already two months old. She was found with her six siblings and her Mom. Bianca was the last one in her family to be rescued because she was so smart and hard to trap. Once she got to her foster home she got comfortable and her whole personality came out. She is a gorgeous long haired, black kitten with big green eyes. She is extremely sweet with other cats but very afraid of dogs. Bianca is a princess when it comes to food and she mainly likes wet food only. Food and cuddling with people and other cats are her favorite things. She also does a very funny open mouthed meow where no sound comes out when she's hoping for attention. Bianca is a very special cat who had a hard start in life but is a little fighter. I can't wait for her to land in her forever home with a family who loves her and all of her little quirky, sweet, and special personality traits.

We adopt animals to homes in the Los Angeles area and neighboring counties.
Our cat adoption questionnaire https://kittenrescue.org/adopt/cat-adoption-form/ is first step of our adoption process, which also includes a home visit, the signing of an adoption contract, and payment of our adoption fee.
Adoption Fees
$150 for a kitten or cat up to 10 years old, or $250 if you adopt a pair.
Cats above 10 years old have a fee reduction of 50%, for an adoption fee of $75 each.
Our dog adoption fee depends on the dog breed and age.

Many of our kitties live in foster homes and can be visited at one of our four weekly adoption events or by arranging directly with the foster.

More about this rescue

Kitten Rescue is a non-profit, volunteer-run organization devoted to finding loving homes for unwanted, homeless cats and kittens. We rescue cats and kittens from the streets of Los Angeles and from City Shelter euthanasia. Since our start in 1997, we have grown into one of the largest, most well-respected animal welfare groups in LA.

Kitten Rescue volunteers adopt out over 2,000 cats and kittens into homes every year. We educate the public about responsible pet guardianship, how to care for kittens and cats, and the importance of spaying and neutering. Kitten Rescue makes educational material available via events, print, school presentations and here on our website. We also provide Trap-Neuter-Return (TNR) assistance for communities in and around Los Angeles, and teach people how to manage and care for feral cat colonies.
