Do you like to gamble? We don't either. We much prefer to bet on a sure thing- like our Blackjack, here! Blackjack is an approximately four-and-a-half-month-old Jack Russell Terrier mix puppy, with an estimated birthday of June 30, 2024. Blackjack, along with two of his friends (possibly litter-mates) came to the rescue after they were contacted about some unwanted puppies. Blackjack and his pals were so cute, how could anyone say no to helping them?! BlackJack weighs approximately eight pounds and is full of fun and energy. He's everything a puppy ought to be, full of love and mischief! Blackjack loves to zoom around the yard with his pals, playing with toys and socializing with anyone that wants to pet him. He isn't shy in the least! Blackjack is still young, so he is hoping for a patient family willing to teach him all the things he needs to be the best adult-doggy he can be; things like leash-training, potty-training, and maybe even some basic commands! Adoption fees are dependent on the age and breed of the animal as well as monthly or seasonal promotions. Please inquire directly as to fee of any animal you're interested in. We do require meet & greets and adopter to be present in person and provide valid id.

More about this rescue

"Chi Town" is short for "Chihuahua Town," which is our nick-name because we found that the majority of animals we were rescuing happened to be Chihuahuas and literally have a little “town” comprised of Chihuahuas! Chihuahuas are one of the most over-bred dogs in Arizona and unfortunately many end up in need of rescue. However, we are not limited to saving just Chihuahas, we do save other breeds dependent on availability of space. Chi Town also specializes in rescuing dogs who require a little extra TLC and are at risk of euthanasia at county shelters. These dogs may not be doing well for a variety of reasons- fear, fear aggression, anxiety, or a medical issue to name a few. These are the dogs that typically have no other outlet and for which time is of the essence . After our dogs are medically cleared and/or their behavioral issues have improved, they are available for adoption.
