My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Age: 2 years old
Weight: 3.49kg / 7.7lb

Meet Foxy, the ultimate boss babe who came to the shelter with her eleven babies! She worked hard making sure her little ones had full tummies and is now ready to retire from mom life and live the fancy-free, child-free life she deserves.

Foxy loves chasing toys and will purr up a storm for all the cheek scritches she can get. She’s a domestic longhair, so her glorious fluff will need regular grooming to keep her looking and feeling her best.

Ready to spoil this hard-working momma turned CEO? Foxy can’t wait to be your new best friend!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
