Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Meet Harbor, our big puppy with a playful heart! This handsome boy is not only treat-motivated, but he's also eager to learn and already knows how to sit and lie down. With his curious nature, Harbor is always ready to explore the world around him, making walks a fun adventure. He walks well on a leash, making him the perfect companion for strolls in the park. If you’re looking for a lovable pup to train and share your life with, Harbor is ready to bring joy and wagging tails to your home!
Harbor would do well in a home with other dogs given proper introductions and time to adjust. To ensure Harbor would be a good fit with other dog(s) we are requiring a dog meet prior to adoption.
We are not sure how he is around cat friends.
Harbor will benefit most in a household with children 8+. Harbor might not be aware of his strength and size, having older kids who can match his energy and give him appropriate boundaries when needed.
Harbor recently started going on Doggy Day Outs with some wonderful volunteers. He does a fantastic job while out and enjoys walks, pup-cups, car rides and visits to PetSmart. He has been described as curious, goofy, sweet, adventurous and mellow.
Here is what our volunteers have to say about him:
"Harbor did great being out! He does lack some manners but not real bad with that. With other dogs he gets a bit focused on them but in close proximity he does a play bow and is friendly. Harbor is pretty mellow but has an excitable side to him. He needs some leash-walking skills but does great on car rides. He'll just stay in the back and lie down. Harbor is a very friendly and happy boy."
"Harbor did great in the car! He loved looking out the window and enjoying the fresh air. On our walk he enjoyed smelling everything and watching everything going on. He was very interested in trying to get to the water. He did great on leash although he would sometimes get stuck on a scent and didn't want to move on. He loved his pup cup and at PetSmart, he was excited to greet people."
Harbor is fully vaccinated, microchipped and neutered.
