My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

 Hi there! My name is Koda, and I’m a five-month-old poodle who recently came to Pey Savers after being owner-surrendered due to allergies. While it’s true that poodles like me are known to have fewer allergens, there’s no such thing as a truly hypoallergenic pet. 

 But enough about that—let me tell you more about myself! I get along fabulously with other dogs and even do well with cats. I’ve never met a stranger, so you can say I’m the friendly type! My previous owner had so   many wonderful things to say about me, so I’m ready to bring that joy and energy to my future forever family. 

 I’m currently on the list to be spayed and will be getting a full vet check soon. In the meantime, we’re taking applications! If you have experience with poodles or have been dreaming of adding a poodle puppy to your life, I’d love to meet you. Apply today, and maybe we’ll be the perfect match!

Additional adoption info

Due to the current situation we are no longer allowing casual visits to the shelter. You will need to submit an application with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting via email. Please visit our website www.petsaversshreveport.org to download an adoption application. Applications can be emailed back to us at petsavers@petsaversshreveport.org

Adoption fees for dogs range from $100-$250. All pets come fully vetted (spayed/neutered, vaccinated, heartworm tested (for dogs).

The shelter is open seven days a week from 12pm to 4pm
Casual visits are no longer allowed. You will need to submit an application via email with the name of the dog or cat you are interested in adopting.

Monthly Events:
Petsmart Adoption Days have been suspended until further notice.

Every 3rd & 4th Saturday of the month from 11am to 3pm

Pet Savers is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, founded in 2005 and located in Northwest Louisiana. Our mission is to rescue, protect, and place abandoned or unwanted pets and provide funds for neutering, spaying, and other veterinary care.

Our precious rescues are cared for 7 days a week, 365 days a year by a special group of dedicated staff and volunteers.
