Hi there, I'm Bento, and I'm on the lookout for my forever home! I'm a litter-trained, sweet and playful boy who loves toys-especially balls and wand toys. I can be a little shy at first, but once I know you're ready to give me pets, I'll warm up quickly and start purring up a storm! I don't meow much, but I'm always happy to be near my humans, whether we're playing together, hanging out with my kitty friends, or just relaxing on my cat tree.
I'm a good boy who loves to play, but I also enjoy some solo time in my cozy space. My foster mom is super proud of how quickly I've adjusted to my new surroundings. It only took me a few days to get comfortable outside of my playpen and start exploring with my friends!

I'm fully vetted and just waiting for my neuter appointment. If you're looking for an energetic but patient kitty who's ready to give and receive lots of love, I'm the perfect fit! I'm pre-adopt or foster-to-adopt ready, so come meet me soon-I can't wait to find my new family!

Their adoption process

1.
Submit Application

If you see an animal you would like to meet, complete our online application. You will receive an email with the next steps.

2.
Meet the Pet

Visit the facility where the animal is located. If in foster care, the foster will set up a time to meet with you.

3.
Sign Adoption Contract

One of our adoption counselors will review the animal's medical history and walk you through the paperwork.

4.
Pay Fee

Our adoption fees include spay/neuter, vaccinations and microchip.

5.
Take the Pet Home

Once the adoption process is complete, you can bring your furry friend home!

Our mission is to provide the programs and services needed to eliminate the killing of at-risk animals due to lack of space, adopter or foster.

San Antonio Pets Alive! is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization. Due to alarming euthanasia rates, San Antonio Pets Alive! (SAPA!) was founded in 2012. SAPA! is unique—it is the only high paced, high-volume rescue in San Antonio, saving 6,000 at-risk cats and dogs annually.

Since its inception, SAPA! has saved more than 47,000 dogs and cats. SAPA! provides safety nets for the dogs and cats that fall through the cracks of all other lifesaving options and end up on the euthanasia lists, often with just hours to be saved. SAPA! promotes the availability of these dogs and cats to other rescues, adopters and fosters.
