This sweetheart of a guy is Jack, a 1-year-old, 52-pound Hound/Shepherd mix who’s ready to find his forever home! Jack is fully vaccinated and eager to start the next chapter of his life with a loving family.

Jack is the perfect blend of playful and social. He’s been fantastic with other dogs and absolutely loves daycare—he’d be an awesome companion for dog parks, playdates, or even a busy home with other dogs. With his energy and love for adventure, Jack would also make a great hiking buddy once he’s had some basic training.

He’s been wonderful with the kids he’s met, so we think he’d do well in a family setting. As for cats—well, we don’t know yet, but we’re happy to help assess his behavior around them if needed.

Jack’s ideal family will be one that enjoys an active lifestyle and is ready to give him the love and attention he deserves. If you’re looking for a fun-loving, social pup with a heart of gold, Jack just might be the perfect fit for you!

**Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. We will accept out of town applications, but any family is responsible for coming to Charlotte to complete a meet and greet. All out of town applicants will also have to be willing to drive to Charlotte to pick up the pet as soon as they are approved to adopt. **
