My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Pascual is one of our amazing seniors. He was found roaming the woods near a rescue in Barranquites, Puerto Rico. He was brought in to the rescue where he was kept in an outdoor yard with two friends, who he enjoyed spending time with. He was very social when people came over to him and greeted everyone. So we decided he would be a great addition to our facility and have a third chance to have a great life. If you would like to come in and meet him, stop by and see this amazing dog.

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
