My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Bella! This gorgeous young tuxedo girl is a calm and gentle soul who is looking for her furever home. Bella came to FFF after she was abandoned at a shelter by her previous owner. Poor Bella did not do well in the shelter due to the stress of the environment, but now that she’s in a foster home, her loving and playful personality has come shining through! One look into Bella’s beautiful green eyes is sure to melt your heart and have you ready to welcome her into your home.

Bella is so loving and she can’t wait to find her forever home with a loving and caring family. However, Bella is a very special girl who has some medical needs that her future owner will need to be comfortable with. Bella has some food allergies so she needs to stay on a special Hydro Protein Diet. Due to these allergies, she sometimes gets rashes around her neck or ears and she has a habit of headbutting objects which possibly aggravates it more. While these are not major issues, her owner will need to keep an eye on her symptoms and make sure that she stays on the special diet that she requires. She is also declawed in her front paws which means she could experience issues with anxiety, or with arthritis later on. Luckily there are many affordable and simple ways to provide enrichment and comfort that helps declawed cats feel more comfortable. Bella would thrive in a home with an owner willing to provide her with the extra care and love she needs!

A calm and gentle girl, Bella tends to be a little shy at first, but once she trusts you, you have a friend for life! She’s a social kitty who absolutely adores affection and being around people. Bella can be timid around other cats and would do well as a solo cat, but she could possibly get used to having another kitty around as long as she is given a gradual and patient introduction. She likes her personal space from other animals so she could do well in a home with an older cat who doesn’t require playtime or stimulation from her, or in a home with a small and calm dog. We’re not sure about how much experience Bella has with children, but given her timid and gentle nature she would do best in a calm home with no children or with older children who understand cat behavior and respect her boundaries.

If you’re looking for a cuddle bug, Bella is the kitty for you! She loves attention and will seek you out for it. She absolutely loves rubs on her adorably chunky little belly. Bella likes being around people and she will frequently hang out with her foster mom and dad. She is independent and is fine when left alone for a while, but she is always happy for quality time with family members. And while she does love cuddles and pets, she still appreciates her personal space so she doesn’t necessarily like being picked up or sitting on laps. However, she will contentedly sit next to you on the couch and rub her head against you to ask for attention! This calm girl absolutely loves to lounge, but she does have a playful side. She particularly likes toys on wands and small furry mice.

Bella is such a special girl who will be an incredible addition to her future forever home. Her sweet, calm, and gentle nature will have you in love with her in no time. If you’re interested in meeting Bella, please reach out to us today to schedule a meet and great! She is eagerly awaiting her future home.

Additional adoption info

Thank you for your interest in Forever Fortunate Felines.  We are very happy to have the opportunity to match you with your purr-fect cat-panion!

Once you complete the online application using the below link, you will be able to discuss and ask questions directly to the foster parent.  We believe this is a big advantage to you as our organization is completely foster based, we really understand our cats personalities at a deep level.  This helps to ensure a great match with you and your family.

In order to get the process going, would you kindly fill out our detailed online application located here:
http://www.foreverfortunatefelines.org/adopt

Completing our online application does not commit you to adopt from our rescue.  Rather it helps us to understand your requirements and match you with the best possible cat or kitten.

Once you complete the application and it is approved, we can set up a meet and greet and if all works out, you may bring the kittens or cats home the same day.  Please make sure to bring an adequately sized pet carrier with you to your meet and greet.  We recommend a pet carrier which opens from the top as this is the easiest way to place a cat inside a carrier.  If you do decide to adopt, we do expect you to take home your cat the same day as there are so many cats and kittens which need to be rescued from high kill shelters, we almost always rescue a new cat or kitten the very next day.  If it is not possible for you to take your cat or kitten home the same day, we do charge a boarding fee of $10 per day for supplies and to encourage you to take your newly adopted cat home.  We will board for a maximum of 3 days if needed to allow you time to get needed supplies.

Our adoption fees are listed at the link below. This fee includes full vetting, flea treatment, de-worming, spay surgery, FeLV and FIV test, microchip insertion, and vaccinations up to date for the kittens or cats age.  We are able to PayPal or most major credit cards for the adoption fee.

We have streamlined our adoption process to make it easy!  Everything from the application, to payment, to the contract is online.  Additionally, all of the cats records will be placed in your free Petlovers account at petstablished.com to keep organized.
