Meet Axel, the resilient and joyful pug with a spirit that can't be broken! This sweet fawn boy was heartbreakingly left to fend for himself outside the animal control building when there was no space to take him in. Despite his challenging start and hind leg weakness, Axel hasn’t lost his zest for life. His back legs may be a little wobbly, with visible marks on his paws from where he’s struggled to get around, but that doesn’t stop him from enjoying a good chase with his dog buddies.
Axel’s ideal forever home would be one ready to support his mobility, perhaps with a set of wheels to help him zoom around and keep his body and mind active! He’s a vocal boy who’ll let you know he misses you when he’s first left alone, but he settles down well in his kennel and is fully aware of potty time—even though he may have a few "oops moments" due to his special needs.
