My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

How this pet arrived:
Ash and Dusty were brought in by their previous owner on November 14, 2024.

Why these two are the ones for you:
Prepare yourself for double the fun and double the charm! Ash (#926362) and Dusty (#936222) are a pair of bonded older kittens who simply can't imagine life without each other. These two besties are like peanut butter and jelly-inseparable, complementary, and absolutely irresistible. Where one goes, the other follows, whether it's a daring chase after a wand toy or a synchronized pounce on a crinkle toy. When they're not busy dazzling you with their playful antics, Ash and Dusty switch gears into "world-class napper" mode. These two have mastered the art of snoozing, curling up wherever they please, from sunlit windowsills to your favorite couch cushion. They're equal parts playful entertainers and snoozy chillmasters. A smooth transition to their new palace? Easy. Just remember that a little confinement for the first few days helps these boys decompress and settle in. Oh, and don't forget to bring two top-loading cat carriers for their grand ride home.

More about this shelter

San Diego Humane Society, an open-admission shelter, is creating a more humane world by inspiring compassion and advancing the welfare of animals and people. Our lifesaving safety net has helped San Diego become the largest city in the U.S. to keep healthy and treatable shelter animals from being euthanized. We are a private, independent, nonprofit organization that is not affiliated with any other humane society or society for the prevention of cruelty to animals.

With campuses in El Cajon, Escondido, Oceanside, Ramona and San Diego, we provide animal services for 14 cities within San Diego County. We not only care for 50,000 animals in our communities but also share the expertise we have gained through our innovative programs with shelters nationwide so they can save more lives in their communities.

While our influence is expanding nationally, our top priority is meeting the needs of San Diego. We provide exceptional care for all animals through world-class veterinary medicine, shelter and most of all: love.
