Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lulu Too! !
Yes the exclamation mark is part of her name, because she’s a Chihuahua and excited about it! (And we already have the spicy OG Lulu still looking for a home with us, so we can’t have any confusion).
This 6lbs tiny girl needed to be out of her home the day they called animal control (always great planning when you are giving up your dog to wait until hours before you are moving), but luckily she avoided the shelter where she would have been terrified and came right to us. She warms up and bonds quickly and once she loves you she’s a cuddly little lapdog constantly begging and scratching at your leg to be picked up. But she’s been known to bond to one person and be a feisty little protector so will need a calmer adult home that knows the breed. She hasn’t had much exposure to other dogs prior to coming to us and seems a little overwhelmed by them but probably could get along with calmer tiny dogs that will give her space. She and the other Lulu seemed to bond over their shared name and tolerated each other.
We were told she was 6 years old… she seems a little older than that but maybe prematurely grey from the stress of life as a tiny chihuahua in a big scary world. But still probably middle-aged or less for a hopefully very long-lived little chi. She’s looking for someone who understands chihuahua culture, won’t be put off if she acts a little ferocious to scare people off at times, and will love and protect her unconditionally as she will you.
Email njwoof@cs.com to meet Lulu Too! in Northern NJ
Since COVID-19, we are no longer holding our Sunday adoption events until further notice, but we are scheduling meet and greet appointments with a specific dog or dogs at our meeting spots in Northern NJ. To streamline adoptions, all communication before, during, and after the adoption process is done through email only: we have limited volunteers able to return phone calls. Submit an application from our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com to speed up the adoption process and email any questions to us at njwoof@cs.com. Please check your email regularly for next steps. All our dogs reside in foster care in Northern NJ until adoption and we do not have a central shelter location. We are a small all-volunteer organization focused on rescuing local dogs from area shelters, as well as accepting some surrenders and puppy mill rescues.

We request that adopters fill out a pre-adoption application either in person at our adoption day or through our website www.secondchance.petfinder.com. This helps us make sure the animal's personality is a good match for your household. Adoption fees vary according to the dog's age, breed, adoptability, and how much we have had to spend in vet bill on them. Adopters sign a contract at the time of adoption, and the animal must come back to us if they do not work out in the home.
