My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

“Dogs love us more than they love themselves." This makes us think of Ryder, who will be such a great part of the family lucky enough to take him home.

Why we love him: Ryder has a zest for life that makes him such fun to be around!

Ryder is two years old and weighs 48 pounds. He has one of those wonderfully expressive doggie faces that looks like he is smiling. Ryder's bouncy, happy-go-lucky personality is so endearing!

Ryder is a very enthusiastic companion on daily walks and will go for as long as you want. He would be a fine hiking or running buddy, too.

Outings in the fenced yard are one of his favorite ways to spend the day. Ryderr bounds about in total joy and has so much fun.

He is always ready for a pet and a cuddle and is so sweet!

Ryder is a bright dog who should master any commands you wish to teach him.

More about this shelter

Cheatham County Animal Control is committed to finding good homes for the animals that come into the shelter system. We work with rescues and adopters. We are a no kill shelter but we rely on people coming in to adopt!

All of our cats/dogs receive vaccinations that are appropriate for the age and health when they are at animal control. We also spay and neuter all of our animals. The adopter is responsible for all vaccinations and medical care after adoption.
