My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Location: Richfield, MN

Selena (Lena for short) is a sweet, energy packed puppy who would rather play or chew on a bone than snuggle. She likes to be near her people, but not on their laps, and her dog friend who's lap she would love to be on if he had one. She is still learning that when she is relaxing, her paws do not belong in his face:)
Lena very much loves her toys, especially the squeaky ones, gnawing on bones, and crunching on treats. She is very motivated by food and looks for a treat when she's told she's being a good girl. Lena also enjoys walks, of course, but is sometimes stressed by traffic, especially when it's dark, so she'll need help with that so she can more thoroughly enjoy walking anywhere, anytime. FYI She loves all the new smells at Home Depot and getting a few pets and treats there. Wherever she goes she is practicing how to greet people while staying down. Manners aren't natural, they are learned.
Selena is learning to be calm during down times
and sometimes benefits from a bone break in her crate when she starts chasing the cats, chewing on her foster mom's shoe, or play biting her foster mom's hand. Other things that help her stay calm but not bored are dog puzzles and snuffle mats. She is also trying her paw at running with her foster sister.
Lena will do best as part of a family that enjoy the outdoors walking, jogging, playing ball, etc. everyday. She will also do best in a family that doesn't have cats who don't hold their ground, or smallish kids who's faces are so kissable and/or nippable. A dog buddy to play and hang with would be good, but not required.
Lena will make an excellent addition to any family that longs to have a sweet, cute, playful, intelligent, energetic, and somewhat independent girl by their side as they journey through life.

The best way to show interest in an animal is to submit an adoption application by visiting our website (www.rescuenetworkmn.org).

Adoption fee includes spay/neuter, all age-appropriate vaccinations (distemper, rabies, and bordetella), heartworm and flea/tick preventatives, heartworm test (dogs), FIV/FeLV test (cats), dewormed, and microchip implant (including registration).

Rescue Network is strictly foster based which means all adoptable animals are in a home and there cannot be a meet until an application is submitted and approved. We have no way of knowing the breeds in the animals. All breeds listed are best guess.
