My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Charlotte!

Charlotte is known as the "Pet Me Queen." If you think you can resist her charm, think again! This sweet little lady has PHD in persuasion, and her method? A mixture of gentle head bumps and soft meows. You might just find yourself giving into her demands, whether it's for a belly rub or a cozy cuddle session on the couch.

Charlotte's favourite pastime includes lounging on windowsills and cat trees and looking effortlessly gorgeous. Once rested, she's back on the prowl for cuddles, ready to wrap herself around you like a furry scarf, reminding you that you are indeed her favourite human.

In case you're wondering if Charlotte has any hidden talents, let's just say that her ability to find the sunniest spots is nothing short of impressive. If there is a patch of sunlight, you can bet she will be there, soaking in the rays, looking like a million bucks!

So if you are looking for a furry family member to shower you with affection, look no further than miss Charlotte. This delightful diva is ready to make your heart (and lap) her throne!

See our website at www.spca.bc.ca/PowellRiver for all of our current information.

The BC SPCA is a non-profit organization dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for domestic, farm and wild animals in British Columbia. Through its locations and operations across the province the BC SPCA provides emergency medical care and sheltering for more than 37,000 animals each year. The society also conducts more than 4,600 cruelty investigations and provides a wide range of advocacy and education programs for domestic, farm and wild animals through its Provincial Office.

Our mission, vision and charter is at the heart of all we do to rescue, protect and care for animals. It is also the driving force behind our animal welfare and education programs.

Our Charter:

The BC SPCA Charter is the foundation that guides the work we do:

Whereas:

The world is inhabited by many species sharing a common ecosystem of air, earth, and water. We recognize and value our interconnectedness with all animals.

Therefore:

The BC Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals is dedicated to protecting and enhancing the quality of life for the animals of the world we share.

We pledge our energies to inspire and mobilize society to create a world in which all animals, who depend on humans for their well-being, experience, as a minimum, five essential freedoms:

1. Freedom from hunger and thirst

2. Freedom from pain, injury, and disease

3. Freedom from distress

4. Freedom from discomfort

5. Freedom to express behaviours that promote well-being.
