My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our newest member of the adoptable- itty-bitty-pittie club is Piglet.! Weighing in at 40 lbs, fully grown, and barely even knee-high. She is a fun-size friendly girl, with happy tappy feet, a kink in her tail and is ready to be your perfect adventure buddy. You could say she is travel size! On top of all that ease, her whole-body-wiggles when she is happy ands she has never met a stranger. Take a look at her in action then come back to read more!

Two things we often have to make an educated guess on with rescue dogs is breed and age. Piglet is estimated to be about 1 year old and sure looks like a big Boston terrier to me but she is likely a pittie/staffie mixed with something small, possibly a French bulldog. When you get the DNA results let us know! One thing we know for sure is her size adds to her seriously charming personality, which can best be described as happy-go-lucky.! This girl is happy and friendly, from feline to canine, with people being his favorite type of friend, maybe because the feeling is always so mutual. Once she meets you it is BFF status! And if you are looking for a dog to teach a trick or two, Piglet is eager to learn! With a treat in hand and an enthusiastic “good girl” said in her direction, she will be ready to learn all the commands and tricks you want to teach.

When I first saw her on leash she was excited, a friendly girl, she was eager to get to know us, and meet the passing dog, which made her leash skills look like they needed some polishing. But after a chance to meet everyone she was walking like a good girl. Some brushing up on leash skills is to be expected though plus, it’s a great way to connect with each other and it will be a good time for you both.I know she is going to make you proud!

Piglet is so fortunate and is waiting for her adoption day in a foster home which gives us a front-row seat to her house manners and natural personality. Her foster family sings her praises for her friendly, smart, and easy-going personality, sharing that she is great in the car, quiet in her crate and is 99% house trained! The 1 percent is only to account for the likelihood that she will need a tour of the appropriate potty places when she get to her new home. Hello Perfect Piggie! Thanks to her size, Piglet is a great candidate for apartment/condo life. Of course, if you have a house with a yard she will be the cutest yard decoration on the block! After a play session be prepared to find her in the full-frogger position in a shady spot of grass.

If you already have pets Piglet is ready to make friends and will fit right in!
She is a playful girl with a love for a good game of chase. She isn’t a pest though, she is very good at reading her friends and doesn’t push or pester a dog that is not interested in playing with her. Piglet was also very respectful when she met our house cat and we would say with slow introductions and the time it takes to build trust, Piglet could live in a home with a feline friend. Ideally she would have a doggie playmate if living with a cat to avoid the possibility of her wanting to play with the cat out of boredom. When she was introduced to our house cat she was curious but gave the cat respectful space and did not chase him when he got up and ran off.

She is the one! If you are looking for a sweet, joyful, petite little friend, you have found her! Piglet is ready for adoption now! These happy itty-bitty ones are a favorite so if you are even a little bit in love, fill out an application! She will be adopted quickly and it could be by you! If you have any questions about Piglet or would like us to test her for a specific setting or detail, please be in touch! We can make most anything happen to ensure she is the correct fit for you and your life!

If you have any questions about or the adoption process, email priya@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions or make the first move by filling out an application! Don’t hesitate, these little well-rounded cuties do not stay available for long.

https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success.

Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress!

Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond.

Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet.

The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded.

It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS:

Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission!

Follow our rescue journey and connect with us on our website and social media platforms. Together, we can make a difference, one adoption at a time.
