My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Precious is just that! A 13 ½ year old cuddly and quietly chatty senior girl that wants to keep you‬
‭ company and be included in your conversations. She’s also a professional biscuit maker, and‬
‭ with extra toes on her front feet, she makes the best biscuits around. She is a people cat and is‬
‭ great with kids too! She has coexisted with other cats before and might be able to do so again‬
‭ given a slow introduction. She has not lived with a dog. Precious’ person passed away a few‬
‭ years ago and her remaining family member is moving far away and their living situation will be‬
‭ changing, so she will sadly not be able to make the move with them. This unique torbie‬
‭ (tabby/tortoiseshell) short haired girl is looking for her new beginning. She is waiting to meet‬

More about this rescue

Golden Oldies Cat Rescue is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization founded in June 2016.
Our mission is to be a resource and advocate for older cats in Monterey County. We re-home older cats in Monterey County whose guardians can no longer care for them, or those who are at risk in local shelters. We place these cats in temporary foster homes and then find permanent loving homes for them enriching the lives of both the cats and their new humans.
We promise a lifetime commitment to the cats in our care. They either will be adopted or will live out their lives in one of our foster homes.
Golden Oldies is led by a board who share a vision of helping older cats in Monterey County live out their remaining years in safe, secure and loving homes. We are all volunteer and 100 percent foster-based
