My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

What my friends at ACC say about me:

Star was in his bed, lying asleep, woke to the sound of the assessor's Voice and briefly hissed and then looked around and ate treats and enjoyed all petting while remaining in place. He was calm during a partial pick up and then resumed eating treats. When re-approached he gave another single hiss as if he was startled, then calmed down.

Star Star interacts with the observer, appreciates attention, is easy to handle and tolerates all petting. We recommend that he go to a home with some cat experience preferred and be well counseled in potential litter box issues.

A volunteer writes: The way to Star's heart? Treats. When this slender gray and white beauty came to the Care Center, he was a little standoffish--which is totally understandable, as his former person was elderly and no longer able to care for him. But eating tasty treats (like catnip and chicken, Star's faves) in the unfamiliar shelter environment helped him relax, warm up to staffers, and allow lots of pettings. Star's former person had many amazing things to say about him, describing him as talkative and communicative, a fan of having his luscious fur brushed, a lover of toys, and a preference for hanging out in the kitchen of the house. (Near the treats, perhaps?) If your kind of cat is a funny, attention-grabbing guy who loves to receive love and snacks, then you must meet Star today!
