Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Britney is a young, cute, easy going cat that loves to lay around looking gorgeous, basking in sunny places - she is described as a "Diva' Kitty" with definite preferences. She is a sweet petite purebred Exotic Shorthair weighing about 5 lbs. Loves to be petted, lay next to you, or be nearby as she enjoys a warm sunlit spot. She is an indoor cat, leashed trained, has an outdoor catio and is 100% supervised whenever outside the house.
The activity of the family's two young children is too persistent for Britney. She does better with the 9 year old than the 4 year old, so we think she may be best suited to older respectful children.
Britney is an only cat, with no other four footed pets. There is a fish and a snake which she has no interest in whatsoever. The ideal home environment for Britney would be calm, with no small children, preferably with someone home most of the time to give her the attention she craves and receive her affection in return.
She has expectations about her favorite food, what Britney wants? Britney gets !. . . or so she thinks this is how life should be. She has favorite cat foods she expects to receive when she wants.
Britney is a healthy kitty. She breathes through her mouth due to the nasal structure inherent in the Exotic Shorthair Breed. She has had nasal surgery to open her nostrils but after 6 months her breathing went back to how it was. She does pant if she plays too hard. Her vet is not concerned.
When she was 12 months old she began urinating outside the litter box. Their youngest child was a rambunctious 2.5 year old toddler, stressing Britney out. Urinary Tract Infection has been checked and ruled out twice by her Veterinarian. Britney is litterbox perfect when she is isolated in her room, or the laundry room. It is for this reason the behavior is associated with the dynamics of a busy household with active youngsters.
This adorable, dainty, kittenish princess really deserves the calm, stress free life she will thrive in. Her owners, who love her dearly, have reluctantly concluded the best thing they can do is to seek an opportunity for her to receive the love and attention in the peaceful home environment she requires. Exotic Shorthairs are known to be quiet, gentle, and become deeply attached to their owners. These cats are very sweet and affectionate, especially after they've had a chance to get to know you. Let us know if you'd like Britney to have the chance to get to know you =^.^=
Britney is spayed, vaccinated, FELV tested, eats wet food, and eats dry food.
She currently lives with her owner in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Britney please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Pam at cheemers@gmail.com or 541-290-8408. If you are unable to reach Pam please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info
READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.
When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!
