Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This guy! What a character he is! Of course, he is adorable. A breeder said Do you want him. ? I said YES. Of course. Immediately. And I knew I should call him Sweet William.
He asks for attention right away. Pet me, love me, take me into your heart. It was funny, everyone in the vets office fell for him when he went into be neutered. Who can resist his appeal, both his personality and his appearance?
He looks a bit like a little lamb with his mostly inch-long fur. He also looks a bit like a hot mess. I think he is growing his coat back from a lion shave. Some of his fur is twice as long as the rest. I think he is a Persian / Scottish Fold mix which accounts for his uneven coat. His tail is currently thin and disreputable, someone has combed out most of the 3- 4 inch long fur there. We gave him a bath which entirely surprised him, his first no doubt. He was good. It will take about six months for him to get his appearance together. I can't wait to see him. Photo's please.
Sweet William loves to be petted. He wants to be with you though he prefers to keep his feet on the ground. You can pick him up and move him here and there and he is polite about it, maybe a little wiggly sometimes. However, he prefers to follow you about and help you with your chores. Along with his interest in your companionship comes his desire to be the only cat in your company. (no exceptions about that) As a breeder's cat he probably had to share his human(s) with too many other kitties. I think he is jealous of other cats. Let's let him be happy basking in his humans' undivided attention. He deserves it. This means he would probably prefer his family not have young children too. I have no idea how he would feel about dogs. He is a confident boy. Not shy. He will happily greet strangers at the door.
If he grows the long coat I think he will have his new family may choose to get him a lion shave very summer. That is an easy option for Persians. Other than that he is an easy cat. He is perfect with his litterbox. He eats anything. Everything in the world is a toy for him, including you. He is tremendous fun. And such a sweet. sweet guy.
Some family will be so lucky to have his devoted companionship.
Sweet William is neutered, vaccinated, FELV tested, dewormed, and microchipped.
He is fostered by Harriet in Santa Cruz.
Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue is dedicated to matching exceptional cats with qualified adopters who will cherish their pet and create an ideal forever home.
If you believe you are the perfect adopter for Sweet William please tell us why in the comments section of our Adoption Application, and contact Harriet at harrietluvskitties@yahoo.com If you are unable to reach Harriet please email us at info@purebredsplus.org.
NOTE: We prefer families with children bring them to the adoption appointment. Why? This allows interaction between the children and the cat. This helps ensure they will be a good fit for each other. A mismatch between a child and a cat is not in anyone's best interests!

Additional adoption info
READY TO ADOPT?
The first step in the adoption process for your new kitty is to submit an adoption application. The second step is to contact the foster home listed on the specific cat(s) or kittens you are interested in to find out more. Are you adopting a kitten? Kittens do best when they have a friend or two to grow up with! Kittens who grow up with another feline friend tend to be well-behaved, well-adjusted, and overall happier. Purebred Plus Cat Rescue kittens are typically adopted as pairs or as a single kitten to homes with an appropriate feline playmate. If you prefer only one kitten, we strongly encourage you to consider one of our wonderful older kittens or young adult cats that are available!

Our cats are neutered or spayed, vaccinated and FELV/FIV tested. We are not a shelter. All of our cats are fostered in private homes. The whole goal of the adoption process is to ensure the cat or kitten is a good fit for you, the adopter, and your environment. We are looking for the best fit NOT first come first serve. We always focus on what is the best for the cat or kitten.
When you adopt from Purebreds Plus Cat Rescue, you are saving TWO lives - the cat you adopt and the cat who gets to take its place in rescue!
