Meet Tank, an American Pitbull Terrier/XL Bully mix.
Tank is a massive dog who certainly grabs attention wherever he goes. Weighing 96 pounds this boy is strong and will need some leash work as he does like to pull. We don`t know what breed mix he is but we recommend his adopters look into XL Bully Dogs as he does remind us of those in both looks and temperament. Tank enjoys meeting new people and going on his walks. He is very much a fan of treats, but watch your fingers as he is still working on being gentle. Tank was abandoned on a property a couple of months ago and had been living outside since then until he was brought to us, we are sure he would enjoy living inside with his new family. Tank could benefit from some basic training but he has a good, friendly attitude. He met a small breed male dog in the lobby and did well but we do recommend bringing other dogs down that will live in the home to meet him prior to adoption.
If you recognize this animal please contact the adoption center at 509-457-6854.
Did you know YHS lets local community members FOSTER TO ADOPT? That`s where you and the pet make sure you`re a good fit for one another by having a fun sleepover prior to finalizing your adoption. It`s a win-win for everyone! Just ask our front desk staff about how it works.
Interested in adopting this or another YHS pet? Please complete our adoption questionnaire found at: https://yakimahumane.org/adopt/apply/
Our adoption fee includes a lovable companion, spay/neuter, vaccinations and intestinal worming, flea/tick treatment, rabies vaccine (for pets over 3-4 months of age) and a microchip with nationwide registration. Your adoption fee helps support YHS and our spay/neuter efforts in the community to end overpopulation of cats and dogs.
If you have any questions, please e-mail us at adoption@yakimahumane.org.
