Cheese was born on August 20, 2023, under my back porch to a stray cat and moved inside with his sister soon after. From an early age, it was clear he was special—he has cerebellar hypoplasia, a neurological condition that makes him wobbly but doesn’t cause pain or worsen over time. This hasn’t stopped Cheese from being a happy, playful, and cuddly kitty.
At three months, Cheese had his first seizure, and while I couldn’t afford the help he needed, he didn’t have another for nearly a year. Unfortunately, his seizures have since become more frequent, and he now takes phenobarbital twice daily to control them. While this medication helps, my schedule prevents me from providing the consistent care he needs.
Cheese is a sweetheart—loving, resilient, and incredibly smart. He’s quick to learn commands, a great listener, and full of personality. He just needs someone who can keep up with his special needs and give him the love he deserves.
