Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi there! My name is Lincoln and I am just as distinguished as my namesake. I am an 80 pound senior Lab/hound mix who is still enjoying life. I was in rough shape when I arrived at Peak Lab, but once I started some meds to help with my arthritis, I perked right up. My foster moms say I have the sweetest demeanor. I love to follow my foster family around the inside or outside of the house. I never stray too far and enjoy short, leisurely walks.
If you pet me just right, I will thump my back leg like a rabbit. It's pretty endearing, if you ask me. I am house-trained and do well with just a few steps to navigate going in or out. I don't make messes in the house or chew things not meant for dogs. At night, I sleep quietly on my big, comfy bed and wait patiently in the morning until it's time to wake up. I should warn you - I'm a pretty heavy sleeper and you might hear me saw a few logs.
I have been in two foster homes because of the foster's time commitments. In the first one I did great with their kids. In the one I am in now, I am perfect with the many dogs of all sizes and cats that I share the house with. All the dogs and cats here, who are great judges of character, were comfortable with me right from the first moment. Given my age, my frolicking days are over and my hearing is quite limited. Since I love to be with my people, this is not a problem as I don't wander. I enjoy meeting everyone yet am always very polite... just pat my head and I'll be your friend.
If you are looking for a handsome older gentleman to have by your side, then I might be the one for you. My current foster mom thinks so much of me that she will pay for my arthritis meds for the rest of my life. Shall we meet?
