My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

APPLICATION LINK: https://shaynesrescue.com/adoption-application/
We must have an application to move forward. (Shayne's Rescue is an affiliate with PetCentralSATX). If there are problems with the website, please email me for help.

Amelia is an Anatolian Shepherd mix. She is about 65# and 3 yrs old. Amelia has shorter hair than her sister and resembles more like a Lab. She is house trained and crate trained. She has no interest in cats and is particularly leery of farm animals. She has not been around farm animals while growing up. In the process of testing her with all the animals, the donkey was the scariest and the noise the pigs made was frightful. After a half an hour walking among the farm animals, she became much more curious about them and calm…even with the donkey.

Amelia and her sister, Abby, are great dogs and if you like them large these 2 dogs are gentle and quiet yet affectionate. YOU CAN'T GET A BETTER DOG! Her temperament is calm, sweet, and adaptable. AMELIA has been raised in a wonderful country home…crated at night and let play outside in the daytime. She does love to play with other dogs.

This dog is CURRENTLY IN TEXAS and available for pre-adoption. Adoptions include neuter/spay, vaccinations (DHPP, Bordetella, Rabies), microchip, health certificate, transport with our professional dog transporter, and 6 mos of heart worm prevention.

If you have any questions or would like an e-mail from us as to how all of this works, text me (Terry); identify the dog's name and give me your email address... 210-394-6060.

Adoption Fees
The adoption fee includes transportation to the NE. All pups and dogs are fully vetted, spayed/neutered, microchipped, dewormed, have a negative heart worm test for all dogs over 6 months at time of transport, have a health certificate, and have all age-appropriate vaccinations. Some dogs/pups have additional medical, including but not limited to FHO, ACL, hernias, dental, and other vetting.

All medical records will be provided to the adopter at the time they pick up their dog.

This is a post on behalf of Pet Central SATX Rescue, headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We have hundreds of puppies/dogs available so there really is no need to apply anywhere else. Also, one application is good even if you are interested in several different dogs...one application no matter which one you choose.

Thank you for choosing to adopt a rescue pup/dog. We firmly believe there is NO breed other than "rescue" for all species. Thank you for being part of the village it takes to save these precious lives.

Adoption application

Go meet their pets

Our transporters go to the Northeast typically three times/month to OH, PN, NY, VT, CT, NJ, & MD. All dogs must be pre-adopted because we have no fosters in the NE. We also adopt in Pacific Northwest and mid-west as well. Some of our adopters have come from both Canada and Alaska.

More about this rescue

We used to call ourselves Shayne's Rescue as we used to rescue dogs. Now, we are Shayne's Fosters as we foster TX rescue pups & dogs.. We assist several Texas rescuers where shelters kill 80-99% of what comes in besides the millions and millions of strays on the streets. Hence, we foster for TX rescues who do impeccable jobs of vetting, quarantine all of their pups/dogs and send up the best dogs we have ever met. All have a health certificate prior to transport (vet visit). We work super hard volunteering and we can always use more assistance from volunteers!

Please do apply. We have so many dogs and puppies available.

This application we always see below is for our long term partner Pet Central SATX Rescue. Typically, we only post puppies in the Northeast and all of our puppies posted in the Northeast are currently from this rescue near San Antonio, TX.
