My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Beau, a lovable and energetic 14-month-old Corgi with a big personality! Beau is incredibly sweet and easy-going, making him a joy to have around. He’s crate-trained, sleeping peacefully through the night and happily spending time in his kennel with a treat when you’re out. Beau loves belly rubs and is always eager to be by your side.

He knows basic commands like “SIT,” “DOWN,” “STOP,” and “GO,” and he’s house-trained, so no worries about chewed furniture. Beau is wonderful with kids and has a playful spirit that keeps him engaged during playtime. He might grab small items or food off the floor if he gets the chance, but he responds well to consistent training and is quick to learn, especially when distractions are part of the lesson.

Beau’s previous owner absolutely adored him, but due to unforeseen health challenges, they made the incredibly difficult decision to rehome him to ensure he receives the care and attention he deserves. Beau was deeply cherished, and it’s clear in how well-behaved and affectionate he is.

Beau does bark for attention and gets excited when meeting new people, so be prepared for an enthusiastic welcome! With his affectionate nature and love for people, Beau would thrive in a home that offers him attention, playtime, and consistent training. If you’re looking for a fun and loving companion, Beau is ready to fill your home with joy and energy!

Go meet their pets

Over 75% of our dogs are in foster homes along the front range. The foster will get in touch to schedule meetings for their foster dog. Meetings will happen in/near their homes since that is where the dog is the most comfortable. We do want you to bring family members (human and dog) to the meeting! Dogs who are currently at our Windsor facility will have meetings there and a volunteer will reach out to schedule those meetings with you. Please be aware that we do not place our dogs on a first come, first served basis, but rather a best-fit placement. Never fear, applications are valid for a year so if the first dog you meet isn't a good fit, we will have plenty of time to find one that is.
