My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Gus showed up in an area with other stray cats and is still there a couple years later. A neighbor who has been feeding them noticed Gus's tail recently endured a bad injury and it needed amputation. With the help of Pet Connect Rescue, Gus got his tail surgery, neutering, and rabies vaccination. Living on the street he acquired FIV but is a happy, healthy, and very cuddly cat, thanks to the kind neighbor and Pet Connect Rescue.

Gus's favorite past time is cuddling on a lap whether that's on the couch, desk chair, or bed. He is friendly with other cats and dogs.

Come meet Gus Saturdays & Sundays 11:30-4pm at Petsmart 2902 S Shepherd Dr. in Houston.

Additional adoption info

All of our pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and given a flea preventative before they are available for adoption. Cats and kittens are also tested for feline leukemia (FELV) and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and must be negative to enter the adoption program.

Our adoption fee of $125 for adult cats and kittens covers only a small fraction of the cost of rescuing, rehabilitating, and housing these homeless animals. Donations help us to provide veterinary care, medicine, vaccinations, food, kitty litter, and other supplies, so that the only limit on our foster caregivers is the size of their homes – not the size of their pocketbooks.

More about this rescue

We are a non-profit, 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to rescuing, fostering and finding permanent loving homes for as many abandoned, homeless, and stray animals as we can. Texas has comparitively higher number of homeless pets than other US States.
Most of our pets live in foster homes before they are available for adoption to ensure they are healthy, socialized, and ready to become a part of your family. All of our pets are spayed or neutered, microchipped, vaccinated, dewormed, and given a flea preventative before they are available for adoption. Cats and kittens are also tested for feline leukemia and the feline immunodeficiency virus (FIV) and must be negative to enter the adoption program.
You can meet our cats every Saturday and Sunday at 2902 S Shepherd Dr, Houston, TX, 77098, from 11:30-4pm, or reach out to us directly if you're interested in a specific cat!
