Hi there! My name is Aspen, and while I may be a little timid at first, I promise I'm worth getting to know. Nothing makes me happier than a gentle brushing session - I'll reward you with the loudest purrs you've ever heard! I prefer to take things slow when meeting new people, but once I feel comfortable, I'll show you my sweet and affectionate side. I'm looking for a patient family who understands that the best relationships take time to develop. Could you be the one to help me come out of my shell?

If there are kids in my new home, I prefer them to be older than 6 and need to meet them before going home. An adoption counselor can tell you more.

The Humane Society for Southwest Washington uses the following guidelines for adoptions:

1. Adopted animals will be spayed or neutered prior to their adoption.

2. Adopted animals will be placed as companion animals.

3. Adopted animals must be kept in accordance with all local laws and ordinances.

4. All animals leaving the shelter must be wearing identification and restrained by leash or carrier.
