Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, I'm Franklin-though my foster parents call me Frankles or sometimes Frankleleeeeee (yep, lots of e's!). I'm a soft-hearted little guy who takes a pinch of time to warm up, so I'll need a slightly patient home. Sudden movements can still make me a bit nervous-especially if someone walks toward me too fast-but here's the thing: if you're in bed or on the couch, I will come to you and demand a major cuddle puddle session. I also do some epic barrel rolls when I am happy!
I love curling up on the couch or snuggling with you on the bed, purring up a storm with my loud little motor. Once I feel safe, I'm all in for companionship and love. If you've got a soft spot for a bashful boy who just needs a bit of time, I think we could be the perfect match. I currently live in a loud home and I am doing fine and do well with other animals. Every night, I sleep right above my foster sister's head. She is a 9-year-old girl who can be loud and I have gotten comfortable with her wild shenanigans!

More about this rescue
The Heart of America Humane Society is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization helping to place shelter and foster animals into permanent homes in and around the greater Kansas City metro area.
Our goal is to save and improve the lives of Kansas City's homeless companion animals by promoting responsible pet ownership. The Heart of America Humane Society (HAHS) partners with the Lee's Summit Animal Shelter (Lee's Summit MO) and KCK Animal Services (Kansas City KS) to increase pet adoptions into responsible, permanent homes.
Background
Our organization does not have a permanent facility or paid staff, so many of our adoptions take place at PetSmart stores and occasionally through other event venues. Some events raise awareness and bring in donations for our animal support efforts, while others help acknowledge and show appreciation for our own volunteers (who perform all duties outside of their regular jobs). Visit our website to learn more about us at heartofamericahs.org.
