My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

My name is Trixie and one of the Tech’s at Cornerstone Animal Clinic found me in her backyard. I had fallen from the tree and was completely stunned. She was able to get me right to the vet and they administered immediate care. They were worried about a head injury as I was so still. X-rays showed no breaks, and I was given fluids and watched carefully. Thankfully a full recovery. They called Texas CARES, and they were thrilled to help me find a forever home. I like to be in charge and will hiss at everything, including the pillow, until it understands I am in charge. I have the most amazing purr and have made friends with the rocking chair and love to sit with you and lord over the other cats. I am an amazing, beautiful black panther. Love and happiness are in my and your future.

Submit Application

If you'd like to adopt a cat or kitten, great. We love finding them forever homes. Complete an online application on oue website

3.
Approve Application

Once your application is approved, we will ask you to sign the adoption agreement and pay a nominal aoption fee.

Texas CARES' cats and kittens ARE NOT FOR SALE.
Cats and kittens are adopted by completing an adoption application that will be reviewed by the Texas CARES volunteer staff. Potential adopter(s) will be notified of the status of their application. This process can take 48-72 hours. Applications for adoption can be obtained from a Texas CARES volunteer or found on our website: http://www.texascares.org/adopt Adoption fees may be tax deductible donations.

More about this rescue

Texas CARES is a non-profit, no-kill animal welfare organization. Our all-volunteer group provides shelter and veterinary care for homeless and unwanted cats and kittens in the Dallas/ Ft. Worth and surrounding areas.

Our cats and kittens are rescued from local "kill" shelters and desperate public situations. All are cared for in foster homes until they are adopted.

Texas CARES was established in 1992 and is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization. All of Texas CARES' funding comes from donations and fundraising events.
