Howdy!! I'm Rubble and I am 1.5 years old! I am a sweet, goofy boy that was originally brought into the shelter as a stray. I was adopted by a very kind and compassionate family, but I was returned because I was unable to get along with the cats in the home. Now don't let this scare you; my temporary mom wrote a letter ALL about me, and I ask that you read and give me a chance! Here is what she had to say:
"Rubble (or Rub Dub) formally known as Biggy is amazing. He truly is the best dog! It broke all our hearts having to decide to let him go, but unfortunately, he does not do well with cats. We’ve worked with him with a canine behaviorist and a trainer, and although they felt we could get some improvement, it wasn’t something we’d be able to do with the timeframe we have.
He checks every other box to be the best dog ever! He’s housetrained (though his signals to go out are subtly looking at the door), crate-trained, and loves to play with other dogs. He would prefer to be with his human 24/7, so if you don’t have another dog, he will be completely content chewing on his firm chew toy (prefers bene-bones or bully make box chew toys). He’ll play fetch if you want to throw, but again, he’d rather go outside to do his business and come back inside to snuggle on the couch. He does his business in one area of the yard, so no landmines all of the yard. I would recommend a fenced yard as he does have a prey drive and wants to get those squirrels!
He is fantastic with my 3-year-old daughter and took it upon himself to make sure she was okay at all times. If she cried or whined, he was there to make sure she was okay and kiss her if needed. He never showed any aggression with people or dogs. I feel he prefers females more, but he is also great with my husband and will snuggle up with him on a chair if I’m not around. He is a big goofus, so he would knock our daughter over on occasion or walk over her if she was on the ground. But as long as there weren’t any cats around, he always went back to check on her. He even would break apart from playtime with our other dog to make sure she was okay or would move his body so he didn’t knock her over. He will try to counter-surf as well. He has his favorite human in the home and tends to listen to them best.
He doesn’t bark but has let out 2 small “boofs” the whole time we had him when he wasn’t sure of people. Otherwise, he just watches, and those piercing blue/green eyes tend to make people hesitate (despite his nub going non-stop). He’s the smartest Olde English Bulldogge I know and will do anything to make his humans happy (and for a treat). He rides beautifully in a car and happily lays in the back cargo area chewing on a bone and occasionally watching the cars pass by. He could use a little bit more manners. We were able to do a lot in the short time he was with us- sit, off, down, drop it. His leash manners aren’t great and could use the most work. He’s so curious about everything all the time that he pulls to get to it.
I can’t say enough amazing things about him and it has truly broken the hearts of everyone in our family that we couldn’t get him to like cats. Please give him a chance! He’d make the perfect apartment dog!
He is currently being fed Purina pro plan and loves it, but he loves all food. His favorite treat are ice cubes and will ask for an Ice tax anytime you’re getting some for yourself. He does have some allergies, most likely seasonal as he got really itchy while it was warm, but it’s getting better now. He has 1 small bald spot on his back that is likely an old scare as he’s had it tested at a vet."

Additional adoption info
Out of county adopters are also welcomed. If needed, spay and neuter vouchers is given and included in adoption price.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
The procedure for adopting one of our animals is as follows:
You walk in, either by appointment or as a walk-in, and our adoption tech will take you to meet the pets. If any of the animals interest you, you can take them out of their cages and spend time with them in a cuddle room or take a walk outside with them (for dogs). Our staff will then answer any questions you may have, explain our trial adoption process to you (explained below) and help you decide if this pet is the perfect fit for your family!
If you are adopting a dog and there is another dog in your home, we ask you to come back for an assisted meet and greet with your current pet!
You then sign our contract and staff will approve of it before asking for your ID and method of payment. Once we have all of the information we need, you can take your pet home! It's that easy!
We try to make the adoption process simple and enjoyable for you and your new pet. Please come in for a visit and give us a try!
Trial Adoption: We highly recommend our trial adoption program where you pay for the pet up front (there is no extra fee for the trial) and then take it home for about 5-7 days (we are flexible with this) to see how it fits in with your lifestyle and other pets in the home. If everything works out, great, just call us and let us know you want to finalize and that is when you receive the microchip number and medical papers as well as a goody bag! If it doesn't work out, you bring the pet back and you will receive a full refund.
Nursery Nanny Program: We also offer a nursery nanny program for our kittens! If you find one you like, you can take it home the same day even if it is not spayed/neutered yet. We ask that you bring it back for the kitten's spay/neuter date and if it needs to return for any vaccinations! We don't finalize the adoption until the kitten has been spayed/neutered and caught up on vaccines.
ADOPTION FEES: $180 for puppies under 9 months, $150 for dogs up to 5 years, $75 for senior dogs, $105 for kittens under 9 months, $95 for adult cats up to 5 years and $65 for senior cats.
Fees include: spay/neuter, microchip & registration, initial vaccines for the year, including the rabies vaccine, and flea & tick and heartworm preventatives
