Rita is very curious about her surroundings and will investigate new people and things with her keen sense of smell. She is an intelligent dog who is very food motivated and eager to please - she just needs someone who can give her the love and care she deserves. Rita is looking for a forever home where she can be the only dog in the family. She has been alone for a long time and is very eager to find a family to call her own. She would benefit from an experienced dog owner who can help her with her basic training and confidence building. Thank you for your interest in adopting from West Valley City/Taylorsville Animal Services! We would love for you to come to the shelter and meet your new family member.

You can come to the shelter Monday through Friday between 1:00 pm – 4:00 pm and walk through to see the animals we have available for adoption.

Please keep in mind that adoptions are first come, first serve. We often have a few pets that would make a good match for each family, so if the animal you are interested in is no longer available, you can still come in and meet some animals to see if there's a good fit.
