My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Cookie came from a home of emotional need. Her owner had, for several months, left Cookie and another dog, at home all day and night alone. Once a day someone came to feed them. This went on for several months. Then the owner decided to either take her out to the country and let her go or shoot her. Cookie is a lab mix. She is beautiful. She is now up to date on shots and is spayed. She is the sweetest dog. She sits and waits patiently for her dinner and never has a food fight with the dog sleeping dog in the picture. The two will play and play. The problem is, Cookie is 40 lbs heavier and I'm afraid our other dog will get hurt. Cookie does not get along with our old dog, who sleeps 23.45 hours a day. We need to rehome her because she is strong and my husband and I are older and we can't handle her. My husband has Parkinson's. I hate giving her up, but she needs a place to run. She would be a great running partner. She is a lovely dog.
