Meet Nolan, a tender-hearted young pup looking for a loving home. This sweet boy is a little shy as he adjusts to his new surroundings, but the staff and volunteers are showering him with all the love and care he needs to feel safe and confident. At just 6 months to 2 years old and weighing 39 pounds, Nolan has his whole life ahead of him to grow and thrive with a family who will cherish him. Nolan has already been neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated—he’s all set to start his new adventure! Come meet him at Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Visit the Facility and Find a Pet

We are here to help you find the one for you! When you come to the shelter please bring your photo ID.

2.
Take the Pet Home

Adopt and the pet is legally yours! Or choose to "slumber party" which is a trial adoption. You will have up to two weeks to decide.

3.
Pay Fee

The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee.

All adopters must be at least 18 years old. The adoption fee is $60 for a dog and $35 for a cat. Those living within Citrus County, FL. will also purchase a $10 county license fee. All pets are spayed/neutered, current on age and species appropriate vaccinations and flea and heartworm prevention. Kittens under 6 months of age are tested for Feline Leukemia (FeLV), and Cats over 6months of age are tested for FeLV and Feline Immunodeficiency Virus (FIV). Dogs over 6 months of age are tested for heartworm disease. If the dog is heartworm positive, the treatment will be provided by our Veterinarian, at no cost to the adopter, sponsored by our generous community partner Citrus County Foundation for Animal Protection (CCFAP).
