My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Say hi to Miss Crunchie! Crunchie is a fluffy little sweetheart who was found as a stray with her siblings, Coffee Crisp and Twirl. As a domestic medium hair, she’ll need regular brushing to keep her beautiful coat in tip-top shape—and it’s a great way to bond with her as she adjusts to indoor life!

Crunchie is still a bit unsure about people but is already starting to show her playful and curious personality. She’s looking for a patient and loving home to help her feel safe and confident. Adopting her with one of her siblings could make the transition easier, but she’s also ready to shine as a solo kitten with plenty of attention.

If you’re ready to give Crunchie the love and care she deserves, she’s ready to be your fluffy little companion!

More about this shelter

CONNECTING LIVES SINCE 1922

From our earliest beginning, Calgary Humane Society was more than a shelter. As Calgary’s first-established animal welfare organization, connecting the lives of animals and people while providing essential animal services to the community remains our central priority.

Today, Calgary Humane Society (CHS) shelters almost 5,000 homeless animals each year. In 1922 we set out to help as many animals as we can and we will continue to do so by fostering the values of respect, compassion, commitment, teamwork, integrity and innovation.

Our mission is to help as many animals as we can.

Our vision is using innovative strategies to lead, inspire, and educate in the humane treatment of companion animals, fostering an enlightened community that consistently demonstrates respect and compassion for all animals.

Our dream is a community where animals are valued, humanely treated, and live enriched lives.

Calgary Humane Society is committed to creating a better tomorrow through education and collaboration.
