Toby is a 2-3 yr old neutered male Retriever/Border Collie mix, our best guess. He is a large mixed breed black dog. These are the dogs that are overlooked the most in shelters. We thought there was something in his eyes that just made him stand out and so we stepped in and saved his life. He was at an overcrowded shelter in southern Idaho where his time was up and he was on the euthanasia list. Boy are we glad we did! This dog is a lover! He weighs 66#s and has a silky flowing Golden Retriever type coat. He can jump a 6' fence, so will require and invisible, wireless or GPS type fence if you are on less than 10 acres. He would do best with someone he can be with all the time. I imagine he ended up in the shelter after whomever owned him tired of his escaping. He was impounded as a stray and never claimed. We've had him neutered and brought current on vaccines. He is great with other dogs, but way too interested in cats for their safety! He is very smart, happy to stay right by your side and will be housebroken in no time! He’s a gem and would love a home and people of his own. He won’t disappoint you!
