My personality

My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Kyla, the queen of her realm and your soon-to-be devoted feline companion!

This large and in charge beauty is on the hunt for her perfect human—someone who will respect her independence yet be ready to shower her with all the love and attention she demands. Kyla is a true character who knows exactly what she wants. She’ll claim your lap as her throne, leap into it with confidence, and even roll over for luxurious belly rubs when the mood strikes.

Kyla thrives as the center of your world and would do best as the only cat in the household—she has no interest in sharing her kingdom. Confined spaces are not her style, so she needs a home where she can roam freely and feel safe.

Adjusting to a new environment and home will be a journey for Kyla; she may be fearful and exhibit signs of stress at first. That’s why she needs a human who is patient, loving, and very familiar with feline behavior. With the right understanding and time, Kyla’s true affectionate and playful nature will shine through.

If you’re an experienced cat person who can offer Kyla the space, care, and unconditional love she deserves, she’ll repay you with endless loyalty and heartwarming companionship. Are you ready to be claimed by this remarkable, sassy, and loving queen? Reach out to meet Kyla and see if you’re her purr-fect match!

More about this shelter

Adopt a Cat Foundation, is a non-profit organization, committed to finding more loving and humane care options for the many homeless, injured and hungry cats and kittens that populate our county. Founded by 18-year recue veteran Inga Hanley, the foundation operates solely through donations,(which are tax deductible) and the assistance of small but dedicated volunteer force---which is always in need of more helping hands.
We provide the following services for the cats and kittens we rescue.

Humanely trap, spay/neuter and medicate as needed.

Provide temporary housing and care in one of two ways: in the shelter, or in one of our foster homes.

Evaluate their behavior and adoptability, adopt out the socialized ones to loving and hopefully permanent homes. Release the feral ones back to there committed colony caregiver who feeds them daily and monitors their welfare.

We also provide community service in other ways. Education on spay-neuter
programs to the public, schools and other non profit groups.

Education on care and handling of feline pets.

Participation in youth and school programs that offer credit for volunteer activities.

We do all this and more because we love them.
