Meet Finn! He is an 3 year old Australian Shepherd and weighs 42 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Finn is hostile around strangers! No kids, cats, or dogs, due to his reactivity! He is housebroken and crate-trained. Finn jumped on a kid and bit him when was playing swords with the owner’s son. Finn was trying to protect the owner’s son. The owner is surrendering him because he has become too territorial and aggressive when visitors come to their home. They have worked with several trainers, but he is still too unpredictable. He needs to go immediately!

If you think you can provide a great home for Finn, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever for their assistance in placing Finn.

Nancy Gonzalez, founder and CEO, created Australian Shepherds Furever (ASF), a non-profit organization to promote the educated adoption and rescue of the Australian Shepherd (Aussie) dog breed.

In July of 2012, ASF initiated as a Facebook page hoping to have 1,000 user "likes" by the end one year. The page quickly outgrew expectations, now with a network of nearly 67,000 individuals striving to provide aid and refuge to Aussies all over the country.

Using the Facebook page as a platform, the website www.australianshepherdsfurever.org was developed as an additional resource aimed at educating the public on this intelligent and beautiful breed. It provides resources for those seeking help, or those willing to contribute to the Adopt, Save, Foster (ASF) philosophy. Through this philosophy, ASF has saved the lives of countless dogs and helped to provide assistance to those that have nowhere else to turn.

We as humans have a responsibility to speak up and take action in favor of those beings that are less fortunate. Thanks to a team of passionate and proactive volunteers, Aussies nationwide are given a chance at a better life through Australian Shepherds Furever.
