My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Georgia, a good girl in search of her forever home!

This gorgeous girl is 3 years old, 72 pounds of love, and has been surrendered to our rescue because her previous family was working too much. Georgia is ready to fill your home with joy, love, and endless tail wags! Georgia comes with an impressive resume: Housetrained , crate trained , leash trained , and always comes when called . She's been socialized with children ages 8-16 and is well-behaved and affectionate around them. Plus, she's had positive interactions with dogs. Her previous owner describes her as a "good girl" who enjoys spending time outside, going for walks, and soaking up all the attention she can get.

Georgia is currently in a foster home and her foster family raves about her! "We are fostering this sweet girl, Georgia!! She is a 3 year old German Shepherd (with the cutest floppy ear) and was surrendered by her owner because he was working too much and couldn’t give her the attention she deserved! She is obsessed with giving kisses and following you around everywhere! She has been a good listener, and apologizes with lots of kisses when she gets caught doing something she’s not supposed to be doing. Georgia goes to the door and paces around when she needs to go potty and hasn’t had any accidents in the house! She’s had a great time with Louie and loves to play and wrestle!"

Georgia is incredibly loyal and would make a great addition to any loving family. Could you be the one to give Georgia the forever home she deserves? Her adoption fee is SPONSORED! If you're ready to open your heart and your home to this sweet German Shepherd mix, please reach out to us at ITVrescue.org. Let's make Georgia's dreams of a forever family come true!

All of our dogs are examined by a veterinarian, given age-appropriate vaccinations, dewormed, microchipped, spayed or neutered, heartworm tested and treated if necessary.

More about this shelter

It Takes A Village Rescue, Inc. is a non-kill 501(c)(3) rescue dedicated to doing what it takes to find loving homes for stray, abandoned, and surrendered animals, and to keep these animals safe and free from further suffering. Our mission is "To work as one in helping homeless animals irrespective of breed, location or circumstance." By working with committed volunteers, foster homes, veterinarians and partner rescues or shelters, we are able to rescue countless animals every year and provide them with loving temporary care as we work to find them well-matched forever homes. Although we do not discriminate based on breed, size or color, we have a particular interest in bully breeds, special medical needs, senior dogs, black dogs and other hard-to-place animals.
