Check out our sister brand, Kinship, for vet chat, a nutrition calculator, basic obedience training, and (much) more. So you're never flying solo in this pet parenting thing.
Hi, I’m Jett! I’m a 4–5-year-old 90lb Labrador-Border Collie mix, and I’ve been told I’m both lovable and clever. I absolutely love going on walks and exploring the outdoors. Fetch? Not my thing just yet, but I’m always ready for other games and adventures.
I get along great with other dogs—I’m always up for some playtime. I don’t live with kids in my foster home, but I meet them on walks sometimes, and I really like when they pet me. I’m gentle and calm around them.
I really love being with my people. Sometimes I feel a little anxious when I’m left alone, but I’m getting better at handling it. I’d be happiest in a home where I can cuddle a lot and have plenty of space to run and play. Could that be with you? Applications at bigloverescue.org.

Additional adoption info
We are extremely thorough with our adoption process. Our goal is to find the best fit for our dogs. We reserve the right to deny anyone a dog if we feel the applicant is not qualified or is not a good fit for the dog at our discretion. We require two personal references that we call to check character and get a recommendation on why or why not the applicant is a good candidate. Also, we call the vet reference to be sure the applicants current dog is current on vaccinations and heartworm prevention. The home check is mandatory to be sure the applicant lives where they say they live and the pet will live in a safe environment.

More about this rescue
The Charity's specific purpose is to rescue lost or abandoned dogs from shelters, from the streets or from owners who are no longer able to care for them. Our goal is to prevent further euthanasia of these animals. All dogs receive medical care and behavioral training as needed to prepare them for a new home.
We do not have a facility.
All of our dogs are in foster homes.
The charity will also focus on efforts to educate the public on the importance of spaying and neutering their animals to prevent the overpopulation of animals in Texas.
Our adoption fee is $300 which includes alteration, vaccines, microchip, training program in some cases & any medical treatments needed for each dog to be 100% healthy and successful in a home. Must have an approved application to set up a meet and greet.
