Snazzy is a quirky, silly 5-6-year-old, 7-pound spayed female terrier Yorkie mix from the NYCACC.
We don't know much about her past as she was a stray. has adjusted very well during her time with her foster family in the city. She is shy with new humans, but with a few treats she is all tail wags and kisses. She enjoys saying hi to dogs on the street, but would prefer to be the only dog in the home.
Snazzy loves activities, puzz;es. and her squeaky toyscuddling. She is also a big fan of treats, and takes them gently. She knows how to "sit" and is also able to stand on her hind legs for an increbibly long time like a trick dog! Snazzy would be a super fun dog to do trick training with as she thrives on mental stimulation and pleasing her human. She also is an excellent snuggler!
During her time with her foster family, she is doing well with a combination of pee pad and leash walks for doing her business outside.
Snazzy loves walks and walks wonderfully on a leash both solo and with her foster siblings . She greets new humans and dogs with friendly curiousity.
At home she needed a little adjustment to co-exist with the two Chihuahua mixes in her foster home, Her forever family will need to continue working with Snazzy to reinforce and advance the progress she's been making. Once Snazzy becomes bonded with a person, she (may) seek to "protect" her person from other dogs, and her new paw parent will need to work with to prevent that habit. So far she has been a gem!
Snazzy doesn't use a crate as she's fine with being left on her own for a few hours with some toys and chews. She likes to nap on the sofa or curl up in her little bed.
She loves to be cozy with her foster family and can be found most often
Snazzy is looking for a moderately active family to play and keep her busy. She appreciates nap time and active moments equally.
She attaches easily would like most to be an only dog; she wants all the love, or a home with at least a one human to dog ratio, She likes her own lap,but can swap out! ! We would recommend Snazzy go to a home without children.
