My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there, I'm Gabe! I'm still a pup, so I'm full of energy and always ready for a game of fetch. I've got this amazing ability to turn any object into a toy - socks, leaves, you name it! I'm also super friendly. I love meeting new people and making friends. My tail wags so fast when I see a friendly face, I sometimes wonder if I could take flight! I'm a sweet boy too. I love cuddles and belly rubs. I'm not just about play, though. I'm also a good listener. If you've had a rough day, I'm here for you. I promise to be your best friend, if you'll be mine. Why should you adopt me? Well, every home needs a ray of sunshine, and I'm just that. I'll bring joy, laughter, and unconditional love into your life. Can't wait to meet you!

More about this shelter

Founded in 1971 as the Animal Aid Society of Englewood, Suncoast Humane Society began with a few cages where people left stray animals to be cared for. Over the years, our service area has grown to include over 400 square miles, covering three counties: Sarasota, Charlotte and portions of Lee.
Suncoast Humane Society provides a safe refuge for thousands of lost, abandoned and abused animals from our service area each year. We are committed to our open-door policy of never turning any animal away, regardless of health, temperament, breed or circumstances.
