Howdy, I am Diesel and I come from Texas. The San Antonio Animal Shelter picked me and my sister as stray puppies and we were a wreck, with very little fur due to mange, we ended up scheduled for euthanasia. Fortunately, some humans know this is very easily treatable and that’s exactly what happened. A foster for 4 Little Paws Rescue picked us up and got to work. Just 1 month later, we are gorgeous, happy, healthy, and ready to find forever homes! Easy-Peasy!
I am a cool dude with a medium energy level, a gentle demeanor, and a never-give-up attitude as seen in my video, LOL! I currently weigh 13 lbs, and although I didn't get all the fancy coloring and blue eyes like Dixie, I make up for it with my giant adorable ears and great personality. I’m friendly with people, love playing with other dogs. I’m sweet and affectionate, rarely bark, and my foster mom says I deserve to be spoiled and doted on. I'm fully housebroken, I walk well on a leash and I don't mind a crate. Nothing fazes me. I’m just a good boy, gentle and grateful, happy and playful, and looking forward to a wonderful future somewhere on the Eastern Seaboard. My new foster home in Connecticut is a lot of fun! I play nicely with a resident dog here and I love snuggling with my foster mom while we watch TV together. We go on walks and I get to sniff and explore the neighborhood. I am happy and loved here but I want a family of my own for Christmas! Come and meet me today but be prepared to fall in love and take me home!

Thoughtful direct emails are welcome and will be answered. However, an application is still a necessary step. We want to make sure we find our dogs a perfect fit with a family so both the dog and the family are happy. We keep our dogs with fosters once we get them out of shelters for a little bit to learn and understand their personalities. Our relationship with families doesn't stop at adoption! We are always available for any follow up questions and are happy to be a resource as you and your new pet settle into a routine.
