My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Jupiter, a kitten with a personality as big as the planet she`s named after. Her goofy antics will have you laughing out loud, and her playful energy is simply contagious. She`s a little bundle of joy, always ready to chase a toy or explore new corners. Jupiter has a knack for making friends and gets along with small dogs. She`s not just about play, though. When she`s done chasing and exploring, she loves to settle down for a good meal. Jupiter`s friendly and fun-loving nature makes her the perfect addition to any family. With her around, there`s never a dull moment. So, why should you adopt Jupiter? Because life with her is a constant adventure of love, laughter, and companionship.

Jupiter is a DSH female kitten about 3 months old as of November. She is white and black, with a mostly white face.

Jupiter is living with her brother Saturn. They can be adopted together or separately if there is another cat already in the home. Check out Saturn`s profile, too. These kittens are used to being around a small dog (13 pounds or less).

She is looking for a forever home that is willing to foster to adopt until she is old enough to be fixed. Foster to adopt means, she will be living with you and you will be responsible for her (including financially) but the adoption will not be finalized until she is fixed. That usually happens around 6 months depending on what the vet says.

Jupiter is up-to-date on vaccinations, dewormed, FIV/FELV negative, and microchipped. She is currently being cared for by our rescue, but would like you to make her a part of your family today! The adoption fee of $125 EACH will benefit other CPR rescue animals.

Additional adoption info

Chicago Pet Rescue Adoption Process:

1. Fill out an adoption application on our website chicagopetrescue.org: Or send us an email as to which animal your are interested in. We will email you an adoption application.

2. An adoption counselor will call or email you within 48 hours to review your application.

If you would like to check the status of your application after 24 hours, you can call or email animals@chicagopetrescue.org

3. The adoption counselor will call your reference, landlord/condo association, and veterinarian (if applicable).

4. An adoption counselor will schedule a time for you, your family and any other pets to meet the pet(s) you've applied for.

5. A home visit is also necessary. If possible, the entire household should be present for the visit.

6. To make the adoption official, a signed adoption contract and an adoption fee will be collected before the animal is placed in your home. If an animal has not yet been spayed or neutered, there is an additional $50 spay/neuter deposit. At time of adoption, adopters should have a collar, leash and pet ID tag. The adoption fee and spay/neuter deposit are payable by cash or debit/credit card only.

All previous medical records and adoption policy will be turned over to the new adopter.

More about this rescue

CPR is a foster/volunteer based rescue, with a 501c(3) non-profit status, dedicated to rescuing stray and abandoned animals. We do not have a central "shelter" as all of our animals are placed in foster homes until forever homes can be found. Our goal is to rescue as many animals as we can safely manage thru foster homes. We rescue dogs, puppies, cats, kittens, birds and other small animals.
