My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Ernie is a sweet and shy guinea pig, approximately 1 year old, and he came to us alongside his bonded brother, Bert. While Ernie is still adjusting to his new environment, he is a gentle and kind-hearted pig who is making progress with time and patience. Ernie came from a home with many other animals and was not handled much before arriving at the rescue, so he can be a bit nervous in new situations.

Like his brother Bert, Ernie is food-motivated and enjoys gentle, positive interactions, especially when treats are involved! Though he may initially be shy, he's gradually gaining confidence with slow and careful handling. Ernie does best in a calm and quiet environment and is sensitive to loud noises or sudden movements. He loves having cozy hideaways where he can retreat to feel safe and secure.

Ernie and Bert share a strong bond and are looking for a home where they can continue their companionship. They would thrive in a household with experience caring for guinea pigs, especially one that can provide a peaceful atmosphere and gentle encouragement to help them build trust.

If you're an experienced guinea pig owner who can offer a patient, loving home, Ernie (and Bert) would love to meet you and find their forever family.
